About the Summit
Growing Talent. Building Partnerships. Illuminating Possibility.
Clemson University’s newly created National Educational Success Summit provides a unique platform for transforming students into tomorrow’s talented, next-generation workforce through educational workshops, speakers and networking opportunities.
Clemson University’s mission as a land-grant institution is an abiding commitment to public service. The University’s strategic plan, Clemson Elevate, continues this commitment by creating the No. 1 student experience, doubling research efforts by 2035 and transforming the lives of South Carolina residents through outreach across the state.
The National Educational Success Summit directly embodies the goals laid out in Clemson Elevate by connecting with students in South Carolina before high school graduation and highlighting what education could mean to their overall success. This effort touches all three by showcasing what college looks like, encouraging innovative thinking in all fields of study, and bringing the reality of a college education into focus.

Call for Proposals
The 2025 National Educational Success Summit will offer creative, educational, and transformative sessions that motivate participants to achieve their highest ambitions. The National Educational Success Summit leadership seeks break-out session proposals from leaders, scholars, practitioners and educators that engage high school students, undergraduate and graduate students, and professionals.
All sessions must address one of the following themes:
- Education and Guidance: Tangible strategies and methods that enhance professional practice and the student experience. Education and guidance of the whole student (including but not limited to mental health, well-being, health, relationships, etc.)
- Workforce Development: Initiatives that prepare students with material skills, knowledge and experience necessary to successfully transition into the workforce.
- College Readiness: Programs or strategies that prepare students with the skills, behaviors and knowledge to navigate postsecondary education.
- Unique Partnerships: Partnerships that have innovated admission to higher education and/or the workforce talent pipeline. Highlighting novel collaborations with the community, industry, family and other educational partners.
We strongly encourage proposals designed to motivate, educate and help students to succeed in high school, higher education, the workforce and beyond. Sessions that are interactive, innovative and disseminate tangible action items are more successful than a lecture format.
Proposals will require you to select the target audience and themes, describe the intended learning outcomes, program description, session outline and action items for participants.
The proposal submission process is open now and will close on September 12 (5:00 pm EDT). Applicants will be notified of acceptance status by September 26, 2025.
