Counselor Position Description

The Clemson Career Workshop Counselors will be responsible for leading and mentoring the students through a fun and educational experience. Counselors will be expected to:

  • Serve as a leader and mentor to students
  • Assist in the planning of student activities
  • Serve as an active participant in activities
  • Escort the students to their sessions and activities
  • Supervise students when they are in the residence halls
  • Respond to emergencies that involve Clemson Career Workshop students or staff

Required Qualifications

  • A current Clemson University student in good academic standing; Students that are graduating in May 2019 are also eligible
  • Be willing to stay in the residence halls every night of the program
  • Experience working with youth
  • A passion for working with high school students from diverse backgrounds
  • Available to work Thursday, June 20 - Saturday, June 29, 2019

The Position Includes

  • $700 stipend
  • Single room in the residence halls with all meals covered
  • Significant leadership experience that is transferrable to other roles
