Corporate Partner Program

The mission of the Corporate Partner Program is two-fold. First, to support professionally-related activities of the students and faculty in the Department and those of its Center for the Improvement of Construction Management and Processes (CICMP). In terms of professional student and faculty activities, these include field trips to project sites, participation in local, regional, and national construction association competitions, and faculty professional development. In addition, support from the Corporate Partners provides seed money for applied research and professional development projects for the benefit of the Corporate Partners conducted through the CICMP.

The second part of the mission is to conduct applied research and professional development activities pertaining to proven “Best Practices” that will result in more effective and efficient construction. The CICMP houses all of the research and professional development conducted by the Department along with working with the construction industry on various initiatives. Recent applied research has resulted in the publication of a series of Construction Best Practice Guides.

1. Unique opportunities to engage with the Department's students, including showcasing companies' permanent and internship employment opportunities at the two annual Corporate Partner-Student Career Fairs. (Career Fairs are $600 each for non-corporate partners, and are subject to availability)
   
   
2. A seat on the Industry Advisory Board to help guide the work of the Nieri Department of Construction, Development and Planning and Center. (General IAB membership is $100 per year FY July-June).
3. Recognition of the company in all appropriate Department and Center publications.
   
   
4. Complimentary access to a network of national and international construction associations, companies, and individuals to utilize in fulfilling company objectives and creating partnerships.
   
   
5. Access to the Center’s resources to develop and conduct continuing education programs and/or applied research at reduced costs.
   
   
6. Complimentary copies of all Center research, service, educational, and other publications.
   
   
7. Two free rounds of golf at the Department annual contractor, faculty, and student golf tournament along with the company’s name listed as a hole sponsor and the opportunity to distribute company information.
   
   
8. Company logo displayed on the Corporate Partner website.  
   
   
9. Company named Corporate Partner on the Department's Digital Display Board in Lee Hall. 
   
   
10. Special recognition in prominent locations throughout Clemson University, especially in the Department and Center’s facilities, and on the Department website. The Department also has several social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) that we can use for cross-posting information.
    
    
11. Promotion of Corporate Partner Job Openings on our social media platforms. Those requests should be submitted with a word doc/PDF of the job description with instructions on how to apply to armstr3@clemson.edu  and cucsmalumns@gmail.com.
    
    
12. Guest Lecturer opportunities.
    
    
13. Large framed print to be displayed in hallways. 
    
    
14. One complimentary ticket to the Annual Nieri Department of Construction, Development and Planning Symposium.
