Opening Doors for College
Through programs and initiatives for K–12 students in South Carolina and beyond, The Office of College Preparation and Outreach (CPO) works to illuminate pathways to college, bridge opportunity gaps, and build a college-going culture.
Established in 2017, CPO works to close educational opportunity gaps and introduce K–12 students to higher education. Its three signature programs are the Snelsire, Sawyer, & Robinson Clemson Career Workshop, Emerging Scholars, and Tiger Alliance.

“CCW helped me picture myself at Clemson and see how the College of Science and COSMIC could support my goal of attending medical school. I especially enjoyed our group project, where we used survey data to explore an issue we cared about. I’d encourage anyone to join—it’s a great way to learn about Clemson and college life.”

“My experience in TA has been a blessing. Summer camps and career workshops helped me get to know campus and understand what it means to be a Clemson student. Connecting with the PAs and other students was my favorite part, and I’d encourage anyone to join—the community helps you grow.”
