  • Design part models using 3D software such as SolidWorks and MasterCam
  • Work with other engineers to develop advanced mechanical devices to be used in domestic and international research
  • Highly skilled with machinery such as manual mills, manual lathes, CNC mills (including 4th axis), CNC lathes, precision surface grinders, MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, Wire EDM and heat treating processes
  • Design, develop and support Sounding Rocket payloads which also include NASA certifications for the handling of pyro devices. Also, the loading of highly flammable chemical payloads such as but not limited to TMA (Trimethylaluminum), Barium Thermite, Lithium Thermite and Strontium Thermite
  • Maintain and support Carbide tooling inventory for MTS employees with regard to applications for material variations
