INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND EDUCATION (ICRE)
In this special session of international collaborative research and education (organized by ZJ Pei, Sarah Wolff, and Marco Sortino), the NSF's "International Research Experiences for Students (IRES) program" will be introduced first. In addition, activities and results of the 2024 NSF IRES Advanced Studies Institute (ASI) on Manufacturing Frontiers Leveraging Unique Facilities in Italy will be presented, and the planned 2026 ASI Manufacturing Frontiers Leveraging Unique Facilities in Italy will be discussed. Furthermore, four PhD students who participated in the 2024 ASI will share their experiences and insights.
