How their research is transforming health care
Recent work introduced Prisma Health’s nurse residency program to a tabletop simulation game, Friday Night at the ER® that works to improve new nurse graduates’ understanding of systems thinking, a skill identified as lacking in new nurses but critical to the success of an organization. The HRSA workforce development grant partners Clemson University nursing students with Tri-County Technical College nursing students to learn rural, Appalachian nursing education at Prisma Health to better prepare rural nurses to take care of patients in their own community.
