Clemson Green Zone Training

Clemson Green Zone Training

At Clemson University, we value our student veterans not only for their service to our country, but also the leadership, life experience, and maturity they bring to the education environment on campus. Faculty, staff, and fellow students play an essential role in helping student veterans transition to life at Clemson. We invite you to attend Green Zone Training to learn about the student veteran experience and how best to support this population.

Mission: Green Zone Training provides faculty, staff, and students with an understanding of the military experience of student veterans as they transition from the military to campus life.

During Green Zone Training, participants will learn about:

  • Student veteran facts and figures
  • What it means to be a student veteran
  • The military and veteran experiences
  • Common myths/stigmas surrounding student veterans
  • On- and off-campus resources and support services
  • How you can better support your student veterans

In Fall 2020, we will host three 60-minute virtual training sessions for the general campus. Two sessions are designed for students, and two are designated for staff and faculty. Click below to RSVP in Tiger Quest.
