2021 Virtual Parent and Family Orientation Tiger Talks Schedule


We invite the parents and family members of our incoming students to join us for Tiger Talks this summer!


Tiger Talks are live Zoom webinars where parents and family members of incoming students will hear from a variety of campus experts. Opportunities to ask questions will also be available for most sessions. All Tiger Talks will be recorded and posted in the Clemson Parent and Family Experience portal.

Academic Advising & Course Registration Overview

Academic advisors will provide a broad and general overview of the academic advising and course registration process for new students. Please note this session will not cover advising information for specific majors and colleges.

Student Health & Well-Being Resources

Campus health experts will provide an overview and information on a variety of health and well-being resources and services available to students. Presenters will also share how parents and family members can support student health and well-being.

Family to Family Panel

Members of the Clemson Family Advisory Board will share their experiences as Parents of Clemson students. Presenters will share advice and tips as well as important parent resources on how to support your student’s Clemson experience.

Student Financial Aid and Billing Info Session

This session will focus on detailing the University’s billing practices and outlining the intricacies of the financial aid process to assist you in meeting your financial obligations to the University. The session will start with a virtual presentation via Zoom from Student Financial Services and the Office of Student Financial Aid and will conclude with a brief Q&A opportunity.

Supporting Your Student’s Academic Journey

Campus experts from Undergraduate Studies, Academic Success Center, Clemson Libraries, and Career Services will introduce parents to variety of academic resources available to students during their time at Clemson. Parents play an integral role in the academic success of students and presenters will outline how parents and families can best support the academic journey of students.

Hear from student life experts who will discuss the numerous involvement opportunities available to students. Our panelists include representatives from the Center for Student Leadership & Engagement, Campus Recreation, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and the Gantt Multicultural Center. Their shared information and resources will help you as parents and family members support your student's extracurricular and co-curricular involvement during their time at Clemson.

Supporting Your Transfer Student

This session is specifically for parents and family members who have students that are transferring into Clemson. The transfer student experience can be quite different than a traditional freshmen experience. Clemson is committed to the successful transition of our transfer students. This session will be presented by staff from the Transfer Student Services Office and they will share a variety of resources and services available to transfer students.



This session will feature campus experts who will share important information and resources to help your student transition to campus over the coming weeks. Panelists include representatives from the Vice President of Student Affairs Office, University Housing & Dining, Parking & Transportation Services, Kick-off Clemson, and the TigerOne ID Card Office.
