Clemson Military and Veterans Engagement

About Military & Veteran Engagement (M&VE)

In 2016, an Assistant Director of Military & Veteran Engagement position was created within the department of New Students & Family Programs to address the needs of student veterans. Quickly, the student veteran population organized around this new program, increasing engagement by student veterans ten-fold. More events and programming began to meet their unique needs, data was refined to better track their progress, and more students participated in veteran-related events.

In November 2018, the Department of Military & Veteran Engagement was created to devote more resources to student veterans and their families. While still a developing department, M&VE is continuing its mission to serve and support the 350+ student veterans and 500+ military dependents attending Clemson University.
