Functional Workstreams

The Workday@Clemson functional workstreams—made up of experts from Clemson’s IT, Human Resources and Finance teams—are at the heart of the project’s success.

These specialized teams lead the design, development, testing and deployment of the new ERP. Working behind the scenes, they create business process designs, identify and manage risks and collaborate with Clemson users to make key decisions to ensure a smooth implementation focused on user satisfaction and adoption.

IT Workstream

Powering a Seamless Workday Experience

The IT Workstream plays a vital role in bridging the gap between Workday’s functionality and the unique technology needs of Clemson’s faculty, staff, student workers and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align Workday capabilities with Clemson’s Human Resources and Finance-related IT needs.
  • Develop innovative, user-centered IT solutions to enhance the overall experience.
  • Support both internal users and external vendors in navigating the new system.

This collaborative team includes Clemson IT professionals and advisors from Deloitte and Attain Partners, who are working together to ensure a smooth, effective implementation of Workday.

HR Workstream

Shaping the Future of Human Resources at Clemson

The Human Resources Workstream is leading the way in transforming Clemson’s Human Resources operations through the implementation of Workday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Deloitte to design and test future-state Human Resources business processes.
  • Lead operational planning with Workday as a central focus through July 2026.
  • Support functional area leads in executing plans efficiently to minimize disruption to ongoing Human Resources operations.

This team includes Clemson Human Resources staff and advisors from Deloitte and Attain Partners, working together to deliver a seamless and forward-thinking Human Resources experience.

Finance Workstream

Realigning Finance for the Future

The Finance Workstream is driving the transformation of Clemson’s financial operations through the implementation of Workday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Deloitte to design and test future-state Finance business processes.
  • Lead the redesign of Clemson’s Chart of Accounts—known in Workday as the Foundational Data Model (FDM).
  • Ensure related organizational needs are incorporated into the system.

This workstream includes Clemson Finance staff and advisors from Deloitte and Attain Partners, working together to build a smarter, more agile financial foundation for Clemson.
