Workday@Clemson

Project Progress

Countdown to Delivery

The Workday@Clemson team is working through the key phases of discovery, design, testing, training development and go live. Bookmark this page to stay up to date on the progress of the Workday@Clemson program.

Plan Stage: Establishing the Foundation

During the Plan Stage, Clemson designed its Foundation Data Model (FDM) to be used across Human Resources and Finance. The FDM is the basis for all transaction processing and reporting in Workday. Discovery sessions were held for Deloitte to hear about our current processes.

Architect and Configure Stage: Designing the Future in Workday

During the Architect and Configure stage, stakeholders related to Human Resources, Finance, and the program’s change network – Campus User Groups – participate in a variety of business process, integration, and reporting design sessions to ensure the system meets Clemson’s business needs.

Test Stage: Validating the System

In the Test Stage, the Workday system undergoes rigorous testing to evaluate new Human Resources and Finance processes and identify areas for improvement before go-live. At the same time, university-wide training is finalized and delivery to Clemson faculty, staff and student workers begins.

Deploy Stage: Launch and Support

During the Deploy Stage, Workday training continues in preparation for go-live. The structure to support end-users will also be activated. After the system launches, training and “hypercare” support will continue to ensure a smooth transition to Clemson’s new, modern Human Resources and Finance processes.

Foundation Data Model

In 2024, the Foundation Data Model (FDM) blueprint was completed. The FDM provides the foundation for transaction processing and reporting for Workday@Clemson.
