Bridge Student Information

Business Programs:

The Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business Bridge students will follow one of three degree paths before transferring to Clemson University: Pre-Business, Graphic Communications, or Economics B.A. The requirements listed below are subject to change.

  • Pre-Business

Pre-Business is a non-degree granting program that students must complete if they plan to pursue a degree in Accounting, Economics B.S., Financial Management, Management, or Marketing at Clemson University. Pre-business is a limited enrollment program for freshmen and transfers.

In order to successfully complete the Bridge program into Pre-Business, students must meet the following criteria:

    • Minimum 2.5 TCTC GPA
    • Completion of approved Math sequence (i.e. TCTC equivalents of either MATH 1020/2070 or 1060/2070 or 1060/1080)
    • Completion of TCTC equivalent of ECON 2110 or 2120
    • Completion of 30 transferrable hours

Bridge students wishing to move directly into their major must complete all Pre-Business requirements, have a 2.5 cumulative TCTC GPA (3.0 for Marketing), and have completed 30 transferrable hours.

    Pre-Business curriculum includes:

    • Approved Math sequence (i.e. MATH 1020/2070 or 1060/2070 or 1060/1080)
    • ENGL 1030
    • ECON 2110 and ECON 2120
    • BUS 1010
    • Approved Natural Science with a Lab
  • Graphic Communications

Graphic Communications prepares students for professional careers in:

    • Printing
    • Publishing
    • Packaging graphics
    • Digital media
    • Content creation
    • Greater communication industry

Our curriculum takes a holistic approach moving students from creative concept to actualization. With courses considering all major printing and visual communication processes, GC provides students with the opportunity to learn and grow in both an educational as well as a professional setting. This includes two internships that provide exceptional real-world experience and career preparation.

  • Economics B.A.

Economics B.A. assists students in cultivating a greater understanding of human behavior, business, and public policy, and it prepares students for a wide range of careers. By combining general education courses and a strong course of study in Economics, students can prepare for graduate studies in business, law, or any of the social sciences, as well as for careers in business and government.

The Economics B.A. degree requires students to complete a modern language requirement through the sophomore level. Compared to the Economics B.S., it requires fewer business courses from other disciplines. The B.A. degree offers students maximum freedom to tailor their course of study to their specific interests and career goals.
