Welcome to the MCRP Program

Clemson's Masters' of City and Regional Planning program is the only graduate planning program in South Carolina.

MCRP plays a vital role in the development of the planning profession in the state and region. The MCRP Program has been an accredited program since 1972, and received its most recent accreditation in 2019 for five years from the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB).

Students enrich their classroom experience by collaborating with community and public service partners on real-world projects as part of an applied, practitioner-oriented environment.

The primary mission of the City and Regional Planning Program is to serve the local, state, regional, national, and global environment by integrating theory and practice in dealing with challenges of community growth and change in an increasingly diverse society by engaging in research and service activities that address critical planning issues.
