Katalin Beck is a Principal Lecturer in Clemson University's Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, where she teaches professional communication and information design in face- to-face and online environments. As a Pearce Center WAC Fellow, she also instructs writing theory and practice to students from a variety of disciplines. Her degrees come from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary and from Clemson University in Clemson, USA. Her experiences in industry, public service, and education help prepare her students to answer the complex global challenges through the mindful and ethical use of professional language. She develops and researches cross-cultural communication with special attention to virtual collaboration, rhetoric, and active learning through client-based projects.
