Joe Davis, Student Assistant of the Year

After demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to serving the department at a level above and beyond his peers, the General Engineering Program is excited to present Joe Davis with the award for Student Assistant of the Year. Serving the 1,000+ incoming engineering students at Clemson requires the help of many student assistants in the department’s administrative, teaching, and grading duties. These jobs are not easy—the work can be fast-paced, unpredictable, even tedious at times—but our department is fortunate to have many student assistants who are up for the challenge. The Student Assistant of the Year is truly the cream of the crop of the General Engineering student workforce. They have served the department long enough and demonstrated consistently high levels of work ethic, pleasant attitude, and initiative that sets them apart from those who were named Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant or Outstanding Student Assistant, other awards presented by the department each year. Joe is a fourth-year Electrical Engineering student who has worked for the General Engineering Program for almost three years. Joe was chosen for this award by the faculty, staff and advisors of the General Engineering Program.
