Invest in the Future of STEM: Support PEER & WISE

Event with a guest speaker

Your contribution to PEER & WISE does more than support a program—it transforms lives and shapes the future of STEM fields. When you give to PEER & WISE, you're directly addressing one of the most significant challenges in science and engineering education: ensuring that talented students have the support they need to not only enter these fields but thrive and graduate. Your gift helps by providing mentoring, academic support, and professional connections that help students overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential in these demanding disciplines.

The impact of your support extends far beyond Clemson's campus. PEER & WISE graduates become innovative engineers, groundbreaking scientists, and inspiring educators who carry forward the values of collaboration. They solve complex global challenges, lead integrated teams, and mentor the next generation. In a world that needs different perspectives in technical fields, your contribution creates a powerful ripple effect—transforming individual students into change agents who reshape industries and communities.

By supporting PEER & WISE today, you're not just funding a program; you're investing in a more innovative, solutions-oriented future for all of us. To make an online gift, please create a giving account with the Clemson Alumni Association.

Raylan Dawkins

Raylan Dawkins
Mechanical Engineering '20

Clemson graduate Raylan Dawkins became involved in the Tiger Alliance, CONNECTIONS and PEER/WISE programs as an undergraduate. Upon graduating, he used the connections he gained while at Clemson and launched a career as a thermal design engineer for GE.

“My experience was amazing in all of these programs. As my participation grew, they truly became my family. They helped me feel like Clemson was my home away from home.”

Dawkins said being involved in programs was invaluable to his professional growth, but said the greatest rewards came in his last years of college, when he was able to make the transition from mentee to mentor.

“Through mentoring college and high school students, I realized I had value to give back; not only to the students at Clemson but also the community around me. I’m able to give back to the community that raised me.”
