Levi Roach is a higher education professional whose work sits at the intersection of operational excellence, student success, and community partnership. With a background spanning media, public administration, and higher education, he brings a rare combination of systems thinking and genuine care for people to everything he does at PEER.
Levi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications with a minor in Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University and a Master of Public Administration from Clemson University. His academic training reflects what his career has demonstrated — that strong systems and strong student outcomes are not separate goals. They build each other.
As PEER's Outreach and Operations Manager, Levi provides leadership across departmental operations, student support, outreach, special projects, and strategic initiatives. He coordinates procurement, program logistics, office operations, and cross-functional projects that support PEER's recruitment and retention goals — ensuring that the programs students depend on run smoothly and effectively behind the scenes.
Levi serves as PEER's lead for special projects tied to major gifts, scholarships, corporate partnerships, and high-profile student and donor events. In this capacity he works closely with university colleagues, industry partners, and PEER leadership to strengthen external relationships and expand student opportunity across the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences.
He also plays a key operational role in the GE Vernova Engineers of Change initiative, serving as Procurement Coordinator and supporting the infrastructure necessary to bring the program to life — coordinating purchasing, managing program processes, and ensuring resources are aligned with both program goals and student needs.
A signature area of Levi's work is his leadership of PEER's tutoring initiative within CECAS. He oversees tutor recruitment, training, scheduling, and program improvement — with a deliberate focus on expanding academic support not only for students entering Clemson but for those navigating rigorous upper-level coursework in engineering, computing, and applied sciences. Through this work, Levi has helped establish tutoring as a central pillar of PEER's broader strategy for student persistence and academic success.
Levi also leads PEER's outreach and recruitment initiatives, including S.E.E. Clemson and Sneak Preview — events designed to give prospective students and their families a meaningful, firsthand look at Clemson University, CECAS, and the student success resources available through PEER.
Before joining PEER, Levi served as Program Coordinator for Access and Excellence within CECAS, advancing recruitment, retention, leadership development, and communication goals through the Driving Education and Leadership Training Academy. That experience built the operational and relational foundation that defines his work today.
Levi currently serves as a CECAS Staff Senator, contributing to conversations and initiatives that support faculty and staff across the college. His professional background also includes experience in media and law enforcement — including a role as a 911 Dispatcher at Clemson University, where he developed sound judgment, effective communication, and composure under pressure. During that time he earned certifications in Mental Health First Aid, National Alliance on Mental Illness training, and qualified as an Intercultural Development Inventory Administrator — a combination that continues to inform how he shows up for students and colleagues alike.
Across every role he has held, Levi brings together operations, student engagement, academic support, and relationship-building in service of one goal: helping students not just arrive at Clemson — but thrive here.
Outside of work, Levi enjoys photography, travel, wedding planning, and making new memories with friends — all set to a soundtrack that may or may not include a significant amount of Taylor Swift.
