Industrial Stormwater Compliance Training

While industrial operations are essential to South Carolina’s economy, they can generate stormwater runoff that carries pollutants into our surface waters. Industrial facilities across the state handle materials, chemicals, and waste that, if not properly managed, can harm water quality and public health. Everyone in South Carolina benefits from clean and safe water, and minimizing industrial stormwater pollution is critical to protecting our environment and communities.

The purpose of the South Carolina Industrial Stormwater Compliance Training is to educate personnel on the requirements of the Industrial Stormwater Permit, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), best management practices, and proper monitoring and reporting procedures. Proper stormwater management not only ensures regulatory compliance, but also demonstrates a facility’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable operations.
