Increasing Environmental Awareness with SC Adopt-a-Stream

SC Adopt-a-Stream aims to build a greater understanding of environmental and watershed-based issues in communities around the state. Volunteers are engaged in actively collecting and sharing water quality data, and through this connection to local waterways, can become powerful advocates for their protection and improved management. The foundations of this knowledge and interest can start at any age! The new SC Adopt-a-Stream Freshwater High School Curriculum provides lessons and tools for educators to bring the what, why, and how of watersheds, surface water pollution, and more to the classroom.
