The Department of Plant Industry houses several programs all with the same goal: Protecting and Serving the Agriculture and Natural Resources Industries of South Carolina. Plant and Honeybee Protection programs protect South Carolina’s agricultural resources and natural ecosystems from the introduction and spread of plant and honey bee pests and invasive species. Optional for South Carolina Residents is our Organic Certification program which certifies farms and processors through the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Organic Program. For more information on each of these programs, please follow the links provided or contact the directors of these programs with the contact information to the left.
