ORD provides resources critical for funding opportunities that require transformative, transdisciplinary, collaborative, and convergent research. ORD provides training in grant writing as well as customized workshops and informational sessions that target specific funding agencies or programs.

Early Research Career Accelerator Program

The NIH Accelerator Program is an intensive mentoring program for early career investigators seeking NIH funding. The aim of the program is to strategically position early career investigators from Health Sciences Center (HSC) partner institutions (Clemson University, Prisma Health, Furman University, and UofSC Medical School-Greenville), so that by the end of the program each participant will have a complete and competitive NIH grant applications. Clemson CAREER Academy

The ORD Clemson CAREER Academy provides a dedicated support structure for untenured junior faculty who are planning to submit National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) proposals.

Support for Clemson Faculty in Research Proposal Development

ORD helps faculty develop high-impact, high-award, inter-college, and inter-institution proposals and fosters interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary, convergent team research.

Support for Nominations for Prestigious Honors and Awards

ORD works with the Provost’s Office to manage applications for external honors and awards for which Clemson faculty members are eligible. ORD assists with interpreting award guidelines, developing letters of nomination, and proofreading and editing all elements of the application.

Resources for Clemson Faculty in Research Proposal Development

ORD compiles documents and templates to support proposal development efforts for Clemson faculty.
