Division of Research Brand Resources

Introduction

The Clemson brand is recognizable and valuable. It connects us and heralds our shared commitment to excellence.

Clemson has a growing reputation as a fast-rising Carnegie R1 research institution. Consistent use of logos, fonts, colors and other materials helps protect and strengthen the value of the Clemson brand. Numerous Division of Research-branded assets are available below to help enhance both our brand and your communications with the power of the Tiger Paw.

Fonts/Typography

The primary Clemson brand font family, Trade Gothic Next LT, can be activated for free via the Adobe Creative Cloud for use on your computer for PowerPoint presentations, flyers, letters and other communications. Other brand fonts are also available for download, or in some cases to purchase. Details are available on the Clemson website.

Logos

Logos for the Division of Research and its offices and facilities are available for download on the Division of Research Canto site from the Clemson Canto Portal.

Templates

Clemson’s Canto site, maintained by the Division of Marketing and Communications, includes numerous templates for flyers, invitations, formal letters, presentations and other collateral on the Clemson Canto Portal. Additionally, Canto has a vast library of high-quality Clemson images that can be used in your designs. Files are searchable by keyword.

Presentations – Branded presentation templates are also available directly through PowerPoint. Click “File” and choose “new from template.” Templates are available in Clemson orange, diploma and white colorways.

Zoom Backgrounds

Several branded, wide-format images are available to download from the Clemson Canto Portal for use as backgrounds for online meetings on Zoom or other platforms. When wearing lightly colored clothing, choose a darker background. Conversely, select a lighter background if wearing dark clothing.

Facts Guide

The Paws to Print Fact Guide prepared by the Division of Marketing and Communications provides regularly updated facts on Clemson University, including detailed enrollment data and student demographics; university rankings and brags; and facts on Clemson’s footprint (number of faculty, degree programs, organized clubs, acreage, campuses, departments, economic impact data, etc.), among other stats. The guide also includes numerous resources that can be used in your communications to describe Clemson, including boilerplate language on the university and its programs.

Editorial Style Guide

The Clemson University Style Guide provides the editorial standards for writing about Clemson. Should titles be capitalized? What about academic degrees? Acronyms and abbreviations? 3 pm or 3 p.m.? Oxford comma or not? The Style Guide has answers. It is intended for all Clemson University faculty and staff who are writing or editing text for print publications, websites, digital, mobile, promotional and other content for internal and external audiences.
