2022 Fall Family Weekend presented by The Inn at Patrick Square

Clemson University Fall Family Weekend is an annual tradition!


We invite you to join us for 2022 Fall Family Weekend on September 16-18. Fall Family Weekend is a great chance to reconnect with your student here on campus! Fall Family Weekend events include tailgating before the Clemson vs. Louisiana Tech football game, academic open houses, opportunities to tour parts of campus, enjoy the city of Clemson, and much, much more. This weekend has something for everyone!


Be sure to check out our full schedule of events here and keep an eye out for more details as we approach the fall. You can access this same schedule by downloading the CU Events App and selecting "Clemson Fall Family Weekend 2022". The events listed below serve as an “at a glance” schedule,” though our full schedule of events includes all events happening throughout the weekend. Fall Family Weekend programming will begin on Friday afternoon and will conclude by noon on Sunday.


General Information

Fall Family Weekend has two separate registration processes. The first is to register for Family Weekend events and the second is to purchase football tickets.


There will be many events taking place on campus and the surrounding area throughout the weekend. If you are planning to visit Clemson campus for Fall Family Weekend, be sure and look at our schedule of events as you make your travel plans. There will be multiple events beginning on Friday. Events for the weekend will end by noon on Sunday.


If you are planning to attend the football game, you may purchase tickets directly through Clemson Athletics. While single-game tickets are not yet on sale, we will send out additional communication and publish the link to purchase here, as soon as sales begin.


Fall Family Weekend Schedule

To access more information about the Fall Family Weekend schedule, please download the Clemson Events app. The app, called “CU Events,” is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Then search “2022 Clemson Fall Family Weekend”.


Another option is to view the schedule in your web browser on your computer.


Fall Family Weekend Registration

You can register for Fall Family Weekend through the Clemson Family & Parent Experience Portal. Registration is required.



Cost: Varies depending on what you choose to attend. Most events during Family Weekend are free, but some events require a purchased ticket to attend. Each person attending a ticketed event, including your student, will need a purchased ticket. Children under 5 years old are admitted free to all events (except the football game).


Price guide:

  • Family Night Out - $20.00 per person

    • Brought to you by the Town Center in partnership with their merchants.

    • One (1) ticket to Family Night Out on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022 at the Town Center of Patrick Square.

    • Each ticket includes admission to the Movie on the Green with complimentary popcorn & soft drinks, transportation to and from campus, and $20 in Patrick Square Bucks which can be redeemed at participating merchants at Patrick Square throughout the weekend!

      • 7–9 p.m. Family Night Out at the Town Center

      • 9–11 p.m. Movie on the Green

  • Tiger Family Tailgate - $25.00 per person

    • One (1) ticket to the Tiger Family Tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.

    • A traditional football game tailgate with food, drinks (non-alcoholic), music, yard games, friends, and more!

  • Family Farewell Brunch - $22.00 per person

    • One (1) ticket to the Farewell Brunch on Sunday, Sept. 18,2022.

    • o A brunch in the Hendrix Student Center before heading back home.


Clemson Football Tickets

We hope you will join us on Saturday, September 17 at 8:00 p.m. in Memorial Stadium to cheer on the Clemson Tigers against Louisiana Tech. While football tickets for the Fall Family Weekend football game are not yet on sale, we will send out additional communication and publish the link to purchase here, as soon as sales begin.


Football tickets are purchased separately through the Clemson Athletics Ticket Office.

Should you buy a football game ticket for your student?

Students will receive information in their Clemson email regarding how to obtain their tickets to football games. Reminder - student tickets are for seats in a designated student section; they will not be able to sit with you. If you want your student to sit with you during the game, you will need to buy them a ticket. Some families choose to buy an extra ticket for their student; other families learn that their student would prefer to sit with their friends in the student section.


Family Weekend Check-In Information

  • General check-in is Friday, September 16 from 1-6 p.m. in the Hendrix Student Center and Saturday, September 17 from 9 a.m.-noon at Hendrix Student Center
    • We encourage your student to stop by and check in for the family.
    • If available, we will sell tickets to the events which require a ticket/fee. We can accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, or Discover only.
  • You do not need to print any tickets to the Family Weekend events. We will provide all tickets you have purchased to you at the check-in locations during Family Weekend.
  • Reminder: Each person attending a ticketed event, including your student, will need a ticket.
  • A pre-arrival email will be sent to you prior to the weekend confirming check-in details and locations, along with parking information for the weekend.
  • In the event your plans change and you can no longer attend Fall Family Weekend, refunds will be offered until Friday, September 9, 2022.
  • If you would like to attend an event that does not have a ticket/fee attached, please plan to attend. Just show up at the door- we welcome you!

Family Weekend Parking Information

  • Friday, September 16
    Parking will be available to Fall Family Weekend guests in the C1 lot on Friday. All Fall Family Weekend guests parked in this lot must be move their vehicles no later than 12 a.m. or they will be towed.
    • Shuttle Service (Lot C1) 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
      You can use the Clemson Transit to bring you from the C1 lot to the Hendrix Student Center. This shuttle loop runs every 12 minutes.
  • Saturday, September 17
    Parking will not be available on this date for Fall Family Weekend guests. You will need to follow the parking guidelines provided by Clemson Athletics. Much of the parking on campus is reserved and not open to the general public. You can visit the Clemson Tigers Football website, clemsontigers.com, to see public parking options and look at interactive maps.
    General admission football parking is available on game day. Admission to the C1 parking lot is $30 per car and we encourage you to purchase your pass in advance through the Parking and Transportation Services website. If you have a rental car, type "RENTAL" in the space for the vehicle license plate number.
    • ADA Parking and Shuttle (Sikes)
      If you need special assistance for parking and transportation to the game on gameday, ADA parking will be available in the Sikes parking lot. An ADA shuttle will run from the Sikes parking lot to Memorial Stadium before and after the game. You must display your ADA placard to utilize this service.
  • Sunday, September 1
    Parking will be available to Fall Family Weekend guests in the E-1 lot. Metered parking is also available in various areas around campus and may be used providing time is paid.

When you register for Family Weekend events, there will be a section where you can indicate any dietary needs. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs and restrictions.

We are still planning great events for you to attend. As events and activities are confirmed, they will be added to the weekend schedule. To access more information about the Family Weekend schedule, please download the Clemson Events app. The app is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Then search “2022 Clemson Fall Family Weekend”.


Another option is to view the schedule in your web browser on your computer. It is updated often to provide you with the most current information. All registered participants in Family Weekend will also receive an email the week prior to the weekend with the final schedule, to assist you in planning your visit to campus.

There will be parking provided for our Family Weekend registered participants for the Friday and Sunday of the weekend, although we cannot guarantee proximity to the events. For game-day Saturday, you will need to follow the football parking guidelines provided by Athletics. Much of campus is reserved parking and not open to the general public for parking.


General admission football parking is available in the C-1 parking lot on game day. Admission to the C1 parking lot is $30 per car and we encourage you to purchase your pass online through Clemson Parking and Transportation Services. If you have a rental car, type "RENTAL" in the space for the vehicle license plate number.

The university recognizes a state-issued disability placard that is awarded to a person with mobility issues. On Friday and Sunday of the weekend, you should be able to find an ADA parking space; these spaces are found in multiple locations around campus. On game day, there are special accommodations for patrons with a valid ADA parking pass that also include a shuttle to and from the Memorial Stadium area.

Family Weekend events will take place rain or shine, except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will proceed as scheduled; we will advise if there is an alternate location. In the event of severe weather (such as lightning), the Center for Student Leadership & Engagement together with Clemson University and the Athletic Department may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning we will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant for cancellations due to weather. Should there be changes in the schedule, the 2022 Clemson Family Weekend schedule in the CU Events app will be updated for you.
