Clemson University Fall Family Weekend is an annual tradition!


We invite you to join us for 2021 Fall Family Weekend on September 17-19. This weekend combines a variety of social activities and events throughout campus. Some of the things you will see at Family Weekend are tailgating before the Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia Tech football game, open houses, drop-ins, trivia night, and much, much more. This weekend has something for everyone!


GENERAL INFORMATION

Fall Family Weekend has two separate registration processes. The first is to register for Family Weekend events and the second is to purchase football tickets.


There will be many events taking place on campus and the surrounding area throughout the weekend. If you are planning to visit Clemson campus for Fall Family Weekend, be sure and look at our schedule of events for Friday as you make your travel plans. There will be multiple events beginning on Friday. Events for the weekend will end by noon on Sunday.


If you are planning to attend the football game, you may purchase tickets directly through Clemson Athletics or through an authorized vendor such as Stub Hub. Single-game tickets are on sale now through Athletics. More information about purchasing tickets through Athletics is stated below, in the section Clemson Tigers Football.


FALL FAMILY WEEKEND REGISTRATION

Registration for Fall Family Weekend is OPEN! You may register through the Clemson Family & Parent Experience Portal.



  • Registration Dates: July 7–Aug. 29 (11:59 p.m.)

  • Cost: Varies depending on what you choose to attend. Most events during Family Weekend are free, but some events require a purchased ticket to attend. Each person attending a ticketed event, including your student, will need a ticket. Children under 5 years old are admitted free (for non-Athletic events only).


Price Guide

  • Tiger Tailgate - $25 per person
    • One (1) ticket to the Tiger Tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 18.
    • Includes a classic football game tailgate complete with food, drinks (non-alcoholic), music, yard games, and more!



  • Farewell Brunch - $22 per person
    • One (1) ticket to the Farewell Brunch on Sunday, Sept. 19.
    • A brunch in the Hendrix Center before heading back home.

CLEMSON FOOTBALL TICKETS

  • Clemson has sold out of football tickets available through the Clemson Athletic Ticket Office.
  • You can still purchase tickets through an authorized third-party vendor for purchasing tickets, such as Stub Hub.

Should you buy a football game ticket for your student?

Students will receive information in their Clemson email regarding how to obtain their tickets to football games. Reminder - student tickets are for seats in a designated student section; they will not be able to sit with you. If you want your student to sit with you during the game, you will need to buy them a ticket. Some families choose to buy an extra ticket for their student; other families learn that their student would prefer to sit with their friends in the student section.


FAMILY WEEKEND CHECK-IN INFORMATION

  • General check-in is Friday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Hendrix Student Center and Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m.– 12 p.m. at Cox Plaza.
    • We encourage your student to stop by and check in for the family.
    • We will sell tickets to the events which require a ticket/fee. We can accept payment by Mastercard, Visa and Discover only.
  • You do not need to print any tickets to the Family Weekend events. We will provide all tickets and items you have purchased to you at the check-in locations during Family Weekend.
  • Reminder: Each person attending a ticketed event, including your student, will need a ticket.
  • A pre-arrival email will be sent to you prior to the weekend confirming check-in details and locations, along with parking information for the weekend.
  • Please note that refunds will not be processed after August 30.
  • If you would like to attend an event that does not have a ticket/fee attached, please plan to attend. Just show up at the door- we welcome you!

FAMILY WEEKEND PARKING INFORMATION

Friday, Sept. 17

Parking will be available to Fall Family Weekend guests in the C1 lot on Friday. All Fall Family Weekend guests parked in this lot must be move their vehicles no later than 12 a.m. or they will be towed.

  • Shuttle Service (Lot C1) 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
    You can use the Clemson Transit to bring you from the C1 lot to the Hendrix Student Center. This shuttle loop runs every 12 minutes.

Saturday, Sept. 18

Parking will not be available on this date for Fall Family Weekend guests. You will need to follow the parking guidelines provided by Clemson Athletics. Much of the parking on campus is reserved and not open to the general public. You can visit the Clemson Tigers Football website, clemsontigers.com, to see public parking options and look at interactive maps.


General admission parking is available on game day. Admission to the C1 parking lot is $30 per car. Cash and credit cards are accepted and you may purchase in advance through the Parking and Transportation Services website. If you have a rental car, type "RENTAL" in the space for the vehicle license plate number.

  • ADA Parking and Shuttle (Sikes)
    If you need special assistance for parking and transportation to the game on gameday, ADA parking will be available in the Sikes parking lot. An ADA shuttle will run from the Sikes parking lot to Memorial Stadium before and after the game. You must display your ADA placard to utilize this service.

Sunday, Sept. 19

Parking will be available to Fall Family Weekend guests in the C-1, C-11, E-1, and E-4. Metered parking is also available in various areas around campus and may be used providing time is paid.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When you register for Family Weekend events, there will be a section where you can indicate any dietary needs. The menus will be posted for each event featuring food so you may review them before you purchase a ticket.

We are still planning great events for you to attend. As events and activities are confirmed, they will be added to the weekend schedule. It is updated often to provide you with the most current information. All registered participants in Family Weekend will also receive an email the week prior to the weekend with the final schedule, to assist you in planning your visit to campus.

There will be parking provided for our Family Weekend registered participants for the Friday and Sunday of the weekend, although we cannot guarantee proximity to the events. For game-day Saturday, you will need to follow the parking guidelines provided by Athletics. Much of campus is reserved parking and not open to the general public. The university recognizes a state-issued disability placard that is awarded to a person with mobility issues. On Friday and Sunday of the weekend, you should be able to find an ADA parking space; these spaces are found in multiple locations around campus. On game day, there are special accommodations for patrons with a valid ADA parking pass that also include a shuttle to and from the Memorial Stadium area.

Family Weekend events will take place, except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will proceed as scheduled; we will advise if there is an alternate location. In the event of severe weather (such as lightning), the Center for Student Leadership & Engagement together with Clemson University and the Athletic Department may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning we will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant for cancellations due to weather. Should there be changes in the schedule, the 2021 Clemson Family Weekend schedule in the app will be updated for you.
