Hrishita Negi Ph.D. ’25 grew up on the Kanha Tiger Reserve in central India and learned to appreciate the power and beauty of tigers from a young age. As a doctoral student, she co-developed TrailGuard AI, a groundbreaking camera system that uses artificial intelligence to track tigers in real time. Now, as the associate director of Tigers United at Clemson, Negi combines research and outreach to broaden conservation efforts, engage communities and reduce human-wildlife conflict.
