Welcome to Clemson University! The new student orientation program at Clemson University is the first step in ensuring that new undergraduate students have a successful transition and integration into college life. The program promotes discussion among parents, new students, continuing students, and faculty and staff on the expectations and perceptions of the campus community.
The following is important information regarding registering for new student Orientation. Please review the following carefully.
Starting on Nov. 9, you will be able to sign up for spring Orientation. To sign up for Orientation, visit your Admitted Student Portal. Additional resources can also be found on the Orientation website.
After you have signed up for orientation, you will receive an email that will outline your next steps to complete virtual Orientation which includes preparing for academic advising, selecting courses, and preparing for student life at Clemson. It is imperative that you monitor your CLEMSON EMAIL for this and other important communications.
You must complete the onboarding process to set up your Clemson username, password and Clemson email address before accessing the New Student Orientation modules through Canvas. Please follow the instructions on the Next Steps tab in your Admitted Student Portal.
The last step in signing up for Orientation will be to pay the Student Transitions and Support fee of $250. This fee funds a variety of programs and services in addition to spring Orientation such as academic advising, on-going transition activities, family programming, and retention initiatives. It supports the success of students during their entire time at Clemson University.
Are you unsure about your declared major? If you have already identified a new major, visit your Admitted Student Portal and complete the “Change of Major” form. You must request your major change before completing the orientation registration process. Requests received after Dec. 11, 2020 will be held until after course registration on Jan. 4.
