Complete Your Application for the Clemson University Graduate School
If you are a new applicant who has not previously attended the Graduate School at Clemson University and you wish to apply as a degree-seeking or nondegree-seeking student, you will complete the following steps during your admission process.
1. Create your account.
Create your account in our admissions portal to begin work on your application.
2. Fill out your application.
Complete your application in the admissions portal. Remember that you can save your progress, stop and begin again at any time. When all your application information is complete and correct, submit your application.
**Applying to more than one program?
Clemson University allows you to apply to more than one program.
Applications at Clemson are customized to meet the needs of each specific program and are not interchangeable between programs. After submitting your first application, you can return to the online admissions portal (using your same user ID and password) and pick your alternate graduate program.
3. Await your admission decision.
Once your application has been submitted, the graduate program will review your materials and provide an admission decision on or before the date specified in your program’s handbook. You will receive an email notification when your admission decision is finalized, and you can check your status in your admissions portal at any time. For questions concerning your application status or decision, please contact the program.

Some programs can offer acceptance to international students who have limited English-speaking skills with the understanding that they must successfully complete an approved English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Visit the International Applicants page for details on this process.

Former Returning Graduate Students

University Employee Applicants
Current Clemson employees are subject to the same admissions requirements, approvals and academic regulations as all other applicants. If admitted, they are eligible for tuition assistance.
Coursera
Earn a Clemson University graduate degree completely online through the Coursera academic platform.
