Bachelor’s-to-Graduate Program

Through the Bachelor’s-to-Graduate Program, seniors in select majors with qualifying GPAs can begin taking graduate-level courses and have the credits applied to both their bachelor’s and graduate degrees.

This allows our students to reduce the time needed to earn both degrees and go further in their academics at a reduced cost.

How To Participate in Bachelor’s-to-Graduate Programs

  1. Confirm you have a 3.4 GPA or higher and at least 90 credit hours, which is required for Bachelor’s-to-Graduate participation.
  2. Browse participating Bachelor’s-to-Graduate programs to see if your major, or one you are interested in pursuing, is included.
  3. Talk with your academic advisor about enrolling in a Bachelor’s-to-Graduate program and/or reach out to the program coordinator for your desired program to learn your best next step.
    • Note: There are no standardized tests or other required materials for B2G or Senior Enrollment. The GPA/credit minimums are the only requirements.
    • Fill out and submit the Bachelor's-to-Graduate application.

Senior Enrollment Program

The Senior Enrollment program allows current Clemson undergraduate students an opportunity to take graduate-level coursework. However, this program does not offer direct entry into a graduate program at Clemson after graduating from your undergraduate degree like the Bachelor’s-to-Graduate program.

Courses taken through this program can be used to meet graduate program requirements at Clemson or at other higher education institutions. Speak with your advisor or graduate program coordinator to learn more.

How To Participate in the Senior Enrollment Program

  1. Verify that you have a 3.0 GPA and at least 90 credit hours.
  2. Talk with your advisor concerning courses that are appropriate for your goals.
  3. Fill out and submit the Senior Enrollment application: Senior Enrollment application.

Direct Entry Ph.D. Programs

Through the Direct Entry Ph.D. Program, seniors in select majors with qualifying GPAs can begin taking doctoral-level courses and have the credits applied to both their bachelor’s and doctorate degrees (you will earn a master’s degree en route).

This allows our students to reduce the time needed to earn both degrees and earn a Ph.D. at a fraction of its traditional cost.

How To Participate in Bachelor’s-to-Doctorate Programs

  1. Have a minimum 3.4 GPA.
  2. View participating Ph.D. programs to see if your desired program is available for Bachelor’s-to-Doctorate.
  3. Contact your desired program’s coordinator to confirm your eligibility.
  4. Apply to your desired program through the Graduate School's online Bachelor's-to-Graduate application.

Coursera Programs

Clemson University currently offers an online Master of Science in computer science through Coursera. Admission into this program is performance-based rather than application-based, and the only prerequisite is a bachelor’s degree and English Language Proficiency Scores for international applicants. Your bachelor’s degree does not need to be in computer science to pursue this program.

Coursera offers a flexible, online class schedule and the opportunity to earn a Clemson master’s degree from home. View more details about our partnership with Coursera to see if it’s the right fit for you.

  1.  Contact the program coordinator for the master’s program you would like to join.

  2. Learn which courses are prerequisites for your program and check your academic transcript to ensure you have completed them.

    1. If you are missing prerequisite courses for your desired master’s program, discuss any transfer options with your program’s coordinator and the best process to fulfill prerequisites before submitting your application through the Graduate School.
