The Clemson Tax School offers workshops and training to South Carolina residents on the following topics: Income Tax, Farm Tax, Timber Tax, and other special topics. The Clemson Tax School has provided tax education for South Carolina's tax professionals for over 60 years.


Clemson University Tax School is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.
Income Tax Course
The annual Clemson University Income Tax Course is an 18-credit hour program that is offered both in-person and online via a live webinar on six different dates in November and December. Participants can elect to register for a 2-day program with 9 credit hours on each day or for a 3-day program with 6 credit hours on each day. This Course combines lecture and example problems from LGUTEF's National Income Tax Workbook, as well as discussion and questions and answers. Participants receive printed materials as well as the Powerpoint slides from instructors. This Course is appropriate for all levels of experience, no advanced preparations are required, and there are no prerequisites. Learn more about Clemson's Income Tax Course.
Timber Tax Course
The annual Clemson University Timber Tax Course is a 4-credit hour program that is offered online via a live webinar during the Fall of 2026. This Course combines lecture, example problems, discussion, and questions and answers on timber and natural resource tax issues, including new law changes that affect woodland property and timber management. Participants receive Powerpoint slides specifically developed from instructors. Estates and Trusts: Beginner Course
This course provides tax professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the legal, fiduciary, and tax-related responsibilities of administering estates and trusts. Participants will explore the executor / trustees role from initial appointment through final distribution, with emphasis on federal tax compliance, accounting, and risk mitigation. Learners will gain actionable insights into probate, filing returns, managing estate assets, handling debts and distributions, and navigating IRS procedures. 1040 Business Fundamentals Course
Participants will learn how to accurately report self-employment income and income from pass-through entities on Form 1040. The course covers Schedule C, Schedule E, and essential forms such as 7203 and 7217 to ensure accurate tax preparation for clients with business activity. South Carolina Agricultural Sales Tax Seminar
