FILE FORMAT: The following are acceptable file formats: bmp, jpg, png, or gif. Please make sure the design is not a photo and that the file has a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
DESIGN ELEMENTS: The design must incorporate the following design elements:
1. OUR NAME: For short, we are often referred to as “The Provost’s Office” or “Office of the Provost.” We prefer our more descriptive title of “Academic Affairs and the Provost.” If you wanted to get really formal, we are officially the “Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Provost.
2. WHAT WE DO: The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost: This is the chief academic officer of the University and has responsibility for the University’s academic affairs. The following individuals report to the Provost: the Deans of the seven colleges and the Deans of the Graduate School, Undergraduate Studies, and Libraries. Other direct reports include the Senior Associate Provost, the Associate Provost for Global Engagement, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Vice President for Research, the Associate Vice President of Academic Initiatives, the Vice Provost for Computing and Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, the Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness, the Executive Director of the Watt Family Innovation Center, the Executive Director, and the Executive Director of the Calhoun Honors College. Given the broad scope of Academic Affairs, numerous offices and entities are under the umbrella of the Provosts Office. These include, for example, Online Education, Off-campus, Distance and Continuing Education, and several University Committees.
