PSA Critical Infrastructure Needs

$4 million

As a land-grant university, Clemson is part of a national system created by the U.S. Congress to improve the quality of life for citizens in every state. Clemson’s Public Service and Agriculture (PSA) network conducts research, Extension and regulatory programs to improve and protect the economic prosperity and wellbeing of all South Carolina residents.

Goals:

  • Maintain facilities occupied and owned by PSA across South Carolina.

Current State

  • A two-year maintenance need assessment of critical PSA infrastructure
provided an outline of needs at each of Clemson’s PSA facilities, broken
down by system and by critical need.
  • Of the needs identified, data concluded that of the $42M total maintenance
    projects:
    • $18M classified as urgent
    • $24M classified as high priority

What will this $4M do?

  • Allow for appropriate planning and provide routine, scheduled maintenance
and upgrades of PSA facilities to meet the needs of a critical network in the
    state of South Carolina.
