David Foltz studies the intellectual and historical development of Western thought in theory and practice. His primary areas of interest include American literature, especially its unique synthesis and metamorphosis of moral and philosophical concerns; moral and political philosophy, including Dante, the literature of the American Founding, Dostoevsky, Nietzsche, and Ellison, by way of example; and policy studies, with foci in education and bureaucracy.
