Meet the world
The College of Arts and Humanities is centered on exploring and understanding the human condition. It encourages students to engage with culture, history, literature, performance, and the intersections of differing fields of study. Students learn the skills to make a living, while also being confronted with the question of how to make a life. Through expert pedagogy in supportive environments, students are trained to think deeply, write effectively, express their thoughts with confidence and interact respectfully with others. The College of Arts and Humanities is where Clemson students prepare to meet the world.
Why study the humanities?Student Film: The Movie
Clemson's first feature film, "Student Film: The Movie", is the centerpiece of a World Cinema film production course made possible by a grant from the South Carolina Film Commission. The course offered Clemson students professional-grade hands-on experience in filmmaking, designed to prepare them for careers in the film, TV, and digital media industries.

The Four Pillars of CAH
Writing
No matter what you do in life, writing clearly and effectively is an essential and durable skill. Every discipline in our College features writing at its core. Our goal is for each Clemson student to find a voice that is uniquely their own.
Pre-Law
CAH maintains a pre-law advising office and offers counseling from a professional pre-law advisor. Our pre-law advising services extend to students of all majors who hope to pursue law as a career, and our office provides the resources and support to prepare you for a future in law.
Ethics
We encourage student do develop an ethical framework for all areas of study, and apply it to fields including business, law, medicine and technology. In addition to classroom instruction, we encourage students to explore ethical questions through intercollegiate competition and student organizations.
Student Experience
CAH provides both classes and activities that address the complete person and give our students a sense of fulfillment, belonging and purpose through performing arts groups, study abroad opportunities, a residential community and more.
