Tuesday, November 10 - Motorsports Day (3-7 PM)
Motorsports Day will take place at CU-ICAR and will feature Clemson’s work in automotive research, innovation, branding, marketing, and racing.
Highlights will include:
- Welcome and opening remarks and recognitions
- Panel discussion on motorsports marketing and events, including perspectives on Michelin’s marketing strategy and branding and additional industry expertise
- Technical panel featuring representatives from different areas within the motorsports world
- Networking, student organization features, and light refreshments
Wednesday, November 11 - Human Performance Day (11 AM-7 PM)
Human Performance Day, in a partnership with Clemson Athletics, will showcase Clemson’s interdisciplinary approach to athletics, sports science, medicine, nutrition, recovery, and performance innovation.
Highlights will include:
- Tour of the Watt Performance and Wellness Center
- Tour of the Athletic Recovery Center
- Panel discussion on data-informed performance with perspectives from strength and conditioning, sports science, sports medicine, sports nutrition, physician leadership, and human performance innovation
- Student experience panel featuring baseball analytics, Clemson Ventures, sports nutrition, and performance science interns
- Keynote presentation by Spencer Strider, pitcher for the Atlanta Braves and Clemson Baseball Alum
- Post-keynote reception in the third-floor Masters Club of Memorial Stadium
Thursday, November 12 - The Final Lap (4:30-7 PM)
The final day will bring the RECESS experience together through a keynote presentation, student recognition, and an evening reception.
Highlights will include:
- Keynote presentation by Richie Parker, Clemson alum and former NASCAR engineer and football chief-of-staff
- GRIT Awards
- Recognition of Brooks Scholars
- Student poster presentations
- Networking and food in the Watt Performance and Wellness Center atrium
