Congratulations, Graduates!

Commencement is May 5 and May 7-8, 2026.

Commencement at Clemson University is a special occasion for our graduates as they gather to celebrate their milestone achievement with family, friends, faculty and peers. Unlike at many universities of similar size, every Clemson graduating student has the opportunity to walk across the stage at Littlejohn Coliseum, shake hands with the University president and be individually recognized. Toward the conclusion of the ceremony, students stand with their arms around each other to sing the Alma Mater for the first time as Clemson alumni.

We can’t wait to see what lies ahead for our graduates and how they create a lasting impact in South Carolina and beyond.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Spring Doctoral Commencement will be held May 5, 2026, at 3 p.m. in Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum. The Spring master's and bachelor's graduation ceremonies will take place May 7-8, also to be held in Littlejohn Coliseum. Tickets are not required for guests attending the ceremonies. However, it is recommended that each graduate limits guests to a maximum of six. The ceremonies may be viewed via livestream on Clemson TV.

All diplomas will be mailed regardless of ceremony attendance.

Clear bag policy will be in effect for all graduates and guests. All bags entering Littlejohn Coliseum must be clear plastic or vinyl and not exceed the dimensions of 12” x 6” x 12”. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags are also accepted. Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”) will be permitted. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Patrons will still be able to carry other items into the coliseum, such as cameras and smartphones, but their carrying cases will NOT be allowed.
