Description
The Senior Advocates are a cohort of Clemson faculty who support the vision of the TIGERS ADVANCE Project, in principle and through action. Our primary goal is to unlock the potential residing in all faculty at Clemson University by fostering and encouraging a more inclusive community via engagement with faculty of Clemson to address existing gender bias and other ingrained inequities. The Senior Advocates are selected by the Advocates Advisory Board and are subject to the governing policies established by the Advocates Advisory Board regarding selection and dismissal. The Senior Advocates will aid and direct a group of faculty who have volunteered to become TIGERS Advocate Facilitators and as such, will aid the Senior Advocates in delivering workshops and other recruiting materials. Advocate Facilitators are chosen from the overall Advocate pool, which is composed of faculty who have taken the TIGERS Advocates Gender Bias and Inequity workshop and are subject to the governing policies of the Advocates Advisory Board. Selection of Advocate Facilitators is by the Senior Advocates, with the approval of the Advocate Advisory Board.
This committee is authorized by the Clemson University Committee on Committees. Changes to its description or composition should be initiated with the Faculty Senate Office.
