Do you have to be Clemson University alumnus to play at the Walker Course?

No. You don't have to be affiliated with Clemson in any way to play golf at the Walker Course.

Is the Walker Course a private club?

No. The Walker Course is a public golf facility. We do, however, offer a variety of membership levels if you are interested in a permanent golf home.

What is your tee time policy?

Tee times are required at all times. General public tee times can be reserved up to seven days in advance by calling the golf shop. Walker Course members are allowed to reserve tee times up to 14 days in advance. Guests of the James F. Martin Inn can reserve tee times through the hotel concierge when they receive their hotel reservation confirmation.

What is your dress code? What is your dress code?

The Walker Course enforces the following dress code for both the golf course and the practice facilities:
- Soft spiked shoes are required.
- All golfers (men and women) are required to wear a collared golf shirt.
- Mock neck shirts must have a minimum of 1¼-inch length collars.
- Denim material slacks or shorts are NOT permitted. Golf shorts are allowed.

Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes. Gift certificates are available for any amount. All certificates carry a one-year expiration date. We are happy to assist phone purchases via a credit card charge.

Does the Walker Course allow personal beverage coolers?

Answer. No, personal beverage coolers are not allowed at the Walker Course. Full-service beverage carts operate daily on the course.

Is the Walker Course open on Mondays?

The Walker Course is open seasonally on Mondays in April, May, September and October. We are closed the remainder of the year on Mondays for course maintenance.

Are rental clubs available?

Yes. The Walker Course carries an inventory of PING rental sets for both right- and left-handed golfers

What does it cost to play a round of golf at the Walker Course?

The Walker Course offers separate pricing structures for weekdays, weekends and holidays. Please call the golf shop for specific rate information.

Do students get a discount?

Yes. Full-time Clemson students (student ID card required) receive a discounted rate during specific times on weekends and holidays. Clemson student discounts are honored at any time during weekdays.

Do IPTAY members get a discount at the Walker Course?

Currently, IPTAY members do not receive a discount at the Walker Course.

Where can I stay near the Walker Course?

The James F. Martin Inn is on our property and is part of our Conference Center and Inn complex. You can walk from the hotel to our golf shop in less than two minutes.
