Delegates
Add or Remove Delegates
This training explains how to add, edit or remove a Request/Expense Delegate who can have visibility to your travel and expenses. If you are a P-Card holder, you want to be sure to add your assigned liaison as your Delegate in Concur.
Step 1.
Locate the Request Delegate or Expense Delegate link in the Profile Settings page.
Changing information in one of these sections automatically applies the changes to the other. They are connected lists.
From the Concur Home Page:
- Select Profile > Profile Settings.
- Select Request Delegate or Expense Delegate from the left-hand menu bar.
Step 2.
Click Add to add a user as a delegate in either the Request or Expense Delegate section.
Step 3.
Begin typing either the employee's name, email address or employee ID. Once your choice appears, click the name, then click add.
Step 4.
Select Appropriate Permissions and Save
- Check the boxes that apply:
- Can Prepare – allows delegates to prepare requests/expense reports on your behalf.
- Can Book Travel
- Can View Receipts – allows delegates to view receipts that the user has uploaded.
- Can Use Reporting – allows delegates to access reports based on employee activity in Concur.
- Receives Emails – allows the delegates to see email notifications that the user receives.
- Can Approve – allows delegates to approve reports on the user’s behalf if the user is an approver (supervisor/budget approver).
- Can Approve Temporary – allows delegates to approve reports temporarily if the approver is out of office without access to Concur.
- Can Preview for Approver – allows delegate to see reports but not approve them (read-only).
- Receives Approval Emails – allows the delegate to receive email notifications about reports pending user approval.
- Once all desired choices have been selected, click Save.
- Users can also be deleted from this section by selecting the check box next to their name and clicking Delete.
*Note: Can Submit Reports and Can Submit Requests are unavailable in Concur. The user must submit the report themselves; this action cannot be delegated.
Act as a Delegate
Acting as a delegate is like being a cardholder’s liaison in Works. To act on behalf of another user, they must assign you specific permissions in their profile settings (see “how to add a delegate” for instructions).
Step 1.
Log in to concur.app.clemson.edu.
Step 2.
On the home page, click Profile, then act on behalf of another user.
Step 3.
Search the employee’s name and click start session.
Step 4.
Once you have started a session, you will see the employee’s name in green in the profile section.
Step 5.
When you are finished acting as another user, click their name in the green section and click done acting for others.
