Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning to campus, we invite you to participate in a series of engaging events designed to inspire, connect, and prepare you for success. This August, Clemson University is hosting a series of essential meetings, professional development sessions, and student engagement activities to help you start the year strong.
New Faculty Orientation
All new full-time faculty are invited to the university’s New Faculty Orientation. These sessions offer faculty workshops, drop-in sessions, resource fairs, and the Clemson University New Faculty Welcome Celebration. New faculty will learn about Clemson University and the support that is available for career advancement. Annual OADC Academic Chairs and Leaders Strategic Priorities Retreat
OADC is the Organization of Academic Department Chairs. All Associate Chairs, Associate Deans, Deans, Academic Associate/Assistant Vice Presidents and Associate Provosts are warmly invited to join while we hold space for conversations tailored to the unique roles of Department Chairs and School Directors. The retreat is scheduled on August 12 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The agenda and materials will be available on the OADC Teams channel.
Paws to the Path
Paws to the Path refers to a year-round roadmap for faculty development. The Paws to the Path coordination and communication-focused initiative aims to provide curated lists of activities, events, resources, and opportunities such that faculty at all career stages receive support that is timely and accessible.
Welcome from Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources at Clemson University guides new employees through Clemson's rich history and culture, benefits offerings and support resources. Human Resources offers both in-person and online general university orientation sessions, both of which satisfy the University's general orientation requirements for all employees. New Faculty should also participate in the New Faculty Orientation Week Sessions.
General Education Program Retreat
The General Education Program Retreat from the Division of Undergraduate Learning provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to participate in discussions surrounding the general education curriculum. The focus will be on the Crossings curriculum updates for the academic year, student experience data and upcoming plans for enhancing student learning and curriculum.
General Faculty Meeting
The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost has called a meeting of the faculty in accordance with Article 1§4 of the Constitution of the Faculty of Clemson University. This meeting occurs at the beginning of each academic year and is organized by the Faculty Senate.
Semester Prep Drop-in Sessions
Get one-on-one support using Canvas, Zoom, Simple Syllabus and other instructional tools during virtual drop-in sessions hosted by Clemson Online experts.
