Dr. Steven Pellizzeri earned his B.S. in polymer chemistry with high honors from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007.  He then obtained his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 2013 under the direction of Dr. Jon Zubieta.  His Ph.D. research was at the intersection of inorganic and physical chemistry, studying the solid-state simulation of the structure and vibrational modes of organic, hybrid organometallic, and inorganic species.  Dr. Pellizzeri then joined Clemson University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 2014 working with Dr. Rachel Getman in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.  His research involved the computational design of catalysts for the valorization of natural gas.  Dr. Pellizzeri joined the chemistry department in 2018 and teaches general chemistry (CH1010) and general chemistry laboratory (CH1011).
