Campus Hazing Transparency Report
This report is made available pursuant to the H.R.5646 - Stop Campus Hazing Act (Public Law No.118-173) and summarizes findings concerning any student organization found to be in violation of the Clemson University Student Code of Conduct by any student organization. This report is updated at least 45 days prior to the beginning of each fall and spring academic semester.

Incident Description: It was reported that Delta Chi incorporated hazing practices into their new member process which included designated driving, personal servitude, and line-ups that included mild calisthenics. In addition, a script was made for all members of the organization to follow that had the potential to disrupt the OCES investigation processes. OCES conducted an investigation into an alleged violation of the university hazing policy and found substantiative evidence to support the finding that Delta Chi was in violation of the university hazing policy.
Charges Findings Hazing In Violation Sanctions
- Disciplinary Probation through January 2028.
- Social Probation through the conclusion of the Fall 2026 Semester.
- The chapter may not host any events, nor partner with other organizations hosting events, involving alcohol, nor any events that would be required to be registered with IFC/FSL.
- This includes but not limited to out-of-town events such as Mountain Weekends, Beach Weekends, or Formals.
- Delta Chi Headquarters Educational Sanctioning.
- All actions outlined in Delta Chi’s Level 3 Corrective Action of the Fraternity’s Risk Management Program must be successfully completed within stated time frames. The “Corrective Action” is attached to this letter and incorporated in OCES’s sanctions. OCES will maintain contact with Delta Chi Fraternity to ensure compliance with all sanctions over the course of the “Corrective Action” period.
