Construction Sciences & Management (Rising 10th-12th)

 

Camp Curriculum and Schedule
• Campers will participate in home building exercises under supervision of qualified construction personnel learning core principles of the industry.
• Camper will be introduced to construction skills such as – Framing – Concrete pour – siding – plumbing – mechanical. etc.
• OSHA 10 Certification where students/campers will learn about safety in the construction industry and become certified with OSHA 10 giving them the ability to actively participate in and work in the construction industry.
• Drones – Students will learn how to fly and utilize drones for 3D Mapping of construction projects, infrastructure projects, in a safe environment.
• Students will be introduced to construction industry equipment, shown the basics of equipment operation.

*Schedule 

Day 1: (Travel) Day with DPR Construction. DPR and IAB representative Laurie Gregory.
Day 2: (Travel) Day with Hill Electric.
Day 3: In house (No Off Campus Travel) OSHA-10 Certification with Dave
Day 4: In house (No Off Campus Travel) Complete OSHA-10 Certification and begin Drone Flights.
Day 5: (Travel off campus) Habitat for Humanity (House build)

Course Specific Needs:

Wear long pants (or skirts), closed-toe shoes, and garments that lack full/flowing sleeves

or fringe. NO SHORTS during class.
