Hi there! 

I’m Matt Whinghter, The Clemson Summer Scholars Assistant Director.

Clemson University has a very special place in my heart, and I look forward to sharing that with you. I was part of the football team during my time here, and I graduated with a Marketing degree in 2001 - I even met my wife decades ago right here at Clemson! I’m the proud father of five, which means I know everything or nothing, depending on which child you ask..

I’m excited to bring my years of mentoring and teaching youth, along with my camp experience, to the Clemson Summer Scholars Program. I welcome the opportunity to meet you soon!

Hey I'm Allison! I grew up in Circleville, OH, spent some time in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!), and eventually made my way down to Clemson, SC, where I’m currently a Ph.D. candidate in the PRTM department. I work with both the Virtual Reality and Nature Lab and the PARTNER lab, focusing on youth development, program evaluation, camps and out-of-school-time programs, informal and non-formal learning experiences, and immersive virtual technology.

When I’m not busy with school or research, you can find me at home spending time with my fiancé and our dogs, diving into a good book, playing video games, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, or exploring local parks with a hike or a walk.
