    Electives/Emphasis Areas (12 Credit Hours)
All Clemson MBA students are required to complete four elective courses. Clemson does not require students to declare an emphasis area; therefore, elective courses may be taken in one or across multiple areas. Elective courses are offered in the evenings and online (Monday-Thursday at 6 p.m.). Course options are not guaranteed to be offered and are subject to change each semester. To view current course options, view our online schedule.

Please note that there may be courses offered by other graduate school departments that could substitute for our electives. You must work with your academic advisor in planning your course schedule and contact them for assistance in planning your elective options.

    Study Abroad at Oxford University
Students can satisfy up to 6 credit hours of elective courses by studying abroad and taking two Clemson MBA courses at Oxford University. Each July, this two-week study abroad program allows students to stay on Oxford's historical campus, participate in site visits with executives from 4 companies and earn a Certificate of Attendance from Oxford University upon completing the trip. Learn more about our Study Abroad in Oxford Program.

Internship Requirements (6 Credit Hours) - MBA 8880
Students in the full-time corporate program must complete an additional six-credit-hour internship if they do not have more than two years of work experience. Students with 2+ years of qualified work experience can be exempt from this requirement.
