How To Apply

Admission to the Clemson University MRED Program requires submission of an official online application to Clemson's Graduate School. See all Clemson Academic Calendars.

Application Fee

The Graduate School does not have an application fee to apply for the MRED Program. Review the Graduate School Application Fee information.

Transcript(s)

Unofficial transcript(s) can be submitted with the online application. Official transcripts are only required of applicants who are offered admission and intend to enroll. Review the Graduate School Supporting Materials page and/or the FAQs for information on application transcript submission and the difference between official and unofficial transcripts. Please also review the Graduate School's final official transcript policy.

Current Resume

Applicants should upload a current resume to the online application.

GRE/GMAT Scores (Clemson's Institution Code is 5111)

GRE or GMAT scores will not be required for applicants; however, are strongly recommended as supplemental documentation for students with a low GPA (below 3.0). Test scores may be self-reported as part of the application. Any test scores submitted will be evaluated with other supporting materials as part of a holistic review process.

Letters of Recommendation

Applicants will list the name and email addresses of three (3) references on the online application. The Graduate School will send recommendation forms to each reference to complete.

Personal Statement

Consider addressing some of the following topic(s) to submit with your application:

  • Interest in the real estate profession and the MRED program
  • Academic and professional preparation
  • Career goals
  • Vision for how your background and the MRED program meet your concept of real estate development and your future career

Interview

Applicants may be contacted by the admissions committee to set-up an interview if application questions arise during the review process.

Additional Requirements for International Applicants

The MRED program seeks an interdisciplinary student body that has academic credentials and the capacity to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. We have a strict selection process that requires students to demonstrate exceptional track records in undergraduate study, work experience and leadership endeavors. We evaluate the person’s whole record of performance and entrepreneurial ability. To maintain the personal scale of the program, entering classes are kept to fewer than 30 students per year.
