Certified Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector Program

Statewide Initial Certification

ANNOUNCEMENT* - UPDATE TO CEPSCI PROGRAM FORMAT

Effective August 2026 , the program format will expand to include additional instructional time on the second day for all Statewide Certification classes (SCR100000). Participants will now complete:

  • Day One: Full day of classroom instruction
  • Day Two (Morning): Simulated site inspection
  • Day Two (Afternoon): Certification examination (Now Open - Book)

This updated format is designed to provide participants with additional practical learning opportunities and enhanced preparation for the certification exam. Previously, the program consisted of one full day of instruction followed by the certification exam on the second day. The added simulated inspection on day two is intended to strengthen real-world application and better prepare participants for success in the field. To complement the expanded training session, the examination will now be open book. This revision to the program reflects CEPSCI's continued commitment to delivering comprehensive, application-focused training and education for program participants
