2017 AP Teacher Institute in Statistics

The 2017 Advanced Placement Summer Institute in Statistics will meet at the University Center of Greenville.  Instruction is planned for two stages.  First, there will be an intensive five day period of formal instruction, July 17-21.  The second stage will be online during July 23-31 for investigations of previous AP questions, and completion of a class project and write-up.  The material scheduled for the final stage is very accessible through online instruction and allows time for completion of the term projects and all remaining assignments.

The Institute is designed with the goal of producing excellent well trained teachers, who are well versed in statistics, prepared to instruct the advanced placement course in statistics and advance the study of mathematics and statistics in the secondary schools.  Successful participants receive three semester hours of graduate school credit at Clemson University and state certification for teaching AP Statistics.
