CARE Network Referral

What is the CARE Network?
The CARE Network, coordinated by the Office of Advocacy and Success, provides individualized support to all Clemson students by listening to their experiences, helping them recognize their needs and strengths, identifying their support networks, and connecting them to campus and community resources. If you are concerned about a Clemson student — whether you are a faculty or staff member, family member, fellow student, or community partner — we encourage you to submit a referral so our team can reach out and offer assistance.
CARE Network Referral FormEmergency Assistance
Submitting a referral to the CARE Network is not appropriate if the student or situation requires immediate attention or there is an emergency of any kind; please call Clemson University Public Safety at 864-656-2222 or 911 for local emergency services, and then submit the referral form so the CARE Network can follow-up after the emergency has been addressed.

How can the CARE Network help students?
The CARE Network helps undergraduate, graduate, and professional students navigate challenges and connect with campus and community resources that best meet their needs. These needs may be academic, personal, emotional, medical, financial, or related to other hardships affecting their success and well-being. The CARE Network does not provide counseling or therapy. Instead, CARE Case Managers build supportive, professional relationships with students by listening to their concerns, helping them identify resources, and coaching them toward self-care, self-advocacy, and effective problem-solving.
-
What is the CARE Network’s response time?
Referrals to the CARE Network are reviewed within one business day during regular University hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Please note that referrals are not reviewed outside these hours or during University holidays and emergency closures.
After review, the team assesses the situation to decide on the most appropriate next steps to support the student.
If you believe a current student is in immediate danger or poses an imminent threat to themselves, others, or property, please call Clemson University Public Safety immediately at 864-656-2222. Once the emergency is addressed, you may submit a CARE Network referral for additional follow-up. -
