Outdoor Ethics and Recreation
Course Description
Want to learn about the outdoors and PRTM (Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management)? This course will help students gain an understanding of the PRTM department at Clemson, what students can study with a PRTM degree, and what kind of jobs students can receive post-grad!
In addition to learning about the PRTM department at Clemson, students will learn about outdoor ethics, outdoor skills, and recreation opportunities in the Clemson area. Outdoor skills will include:
- Setting up a tent
- Outdoor cooking
- Hiking
- Backpacking Basics
- Wilderness Safety
- Leave no Trace
Students will participate in outdoor activities as part of this class and should prepare by bringing appropriate footwear, clothing, water bottles, sun screen, and bug spray.
